Decorating can be a real hassle and a real expense especially in today’s economy where the price of everything we use seems to be on the rise and spare cash seems on the decline but as they say home is where the hart is and we all like to come home to a place that is beautiful comfortable and reflects u as a person. Even now in this economic climate of declining free cash or spare money many of us are still seeking perfection at home I was reading a report from Pilkington building products who have done a study on spending trends in 2011 in concern to decorating refurbishments and renovations and even with spending money is in decline Pilkington building products have predicted that over a quarter of us will spend around five thousand pounds this year on decorating and renovations so there is still a great demand on materials and tips styles and concepts so hers a few tips to get u started and steer you in the right direction but would have to add that having a canvas photo print really is an exceptional idea in its self if I must say.

For kitchens last year the main theme was a black and white slick concept this year for the fall/winter sees a smooth all white theme always remember when painting a kitchen that it is typically the most used room in your home and the walls, ceiling ect  can take a real beating over time. The kitchen paint will really need to withstand moisture and constant cleaning. Oil and water based paints are good and sheen types from flat to high gloss are a must.

This year subtle colour tones and soft paint colours will be used throughout the house. Sky blue and turquoise have been a big hit and look great anywhere in the home. With most years wall papers and paint effects will become more elegant detailed and impressive.  An important part of decorating if you are like most of us and like to take on the whole house is that it flows from room to room very different styles or themes in every room often don’t work try to think of the house as one room try to stick to one or two themes because too much contrast throughout the house often does not mesh and can look muddled or try to keep one main theme running all the way round the house this can be achieved with matching furniture ornaments and colours.

A great way to decorate your house is to use canvas prints,  canvas printing has been around for years and has played a big part in how a room comes together similar canvases around the house can really tie your theme together or even family portraits can really give the personal touch and make a house a home. So next time you are thinking of getting any type of wall decoration then giving it a little bit of thought and imagination with a canvas print can really do wonders for your home and can really give the lift that is needed.
